Hi! I’m Cale Crueger — a PR graduate, a team player and a creative.
With diverse digital marketing experience in healthcare communications, political campaigning and journalism, I am prepared and eager to begin a career in the ever-changing media industry.
My strategic thinking, interpersonal skills and writing ability led me to study Public Relations and Political Science as an undergrad at the University of Oregon.
I am looking for work across the West Coast. Check out my Q&A below to learn more about me, or just reach out.

With proven experience working on teams, meeting deadlines, pitching ideas, researching thoroughly and developing professional work, I know I can take on the responsibilities of an entry-level media industry position.
I am an adaptable and conscientious worker and, above all, a wordsmith — welding anything from blog posts, Instagram captions, press releases or email campaigns to an ironclad quality fit for any audience.

Thanks for asking! I do crosswords daily, and I sift through the news every morning. I grew up hiking with my dad across the PNW and believe that time in nature is time well spent — no matter the weather! Being creative, I consider it my call to a myriad of niche hobbies — like painting, record-shopping and trying out new recipes in the kitchen.
I love people and I love writing. I keep up with social media trends and am always talking to friends and family. I am also an avid-reader — my favorite book of the year so far is The Rabbit Hutch by Tess Gunty. Currently, I’m reading Joan Didion’s Play It As It Lays.

I wanted my online portfolio’s theme to stick with viewers — like honey. As a frequent idea-haver who loves a good metaphor, the bee came to mind and the parallels just blossomed from there. (Creativity can be quite the buzz!)
I’ve always understood PR as a form of maintenance, like beekeepers strategizing the best ways to care for their hives while conditions change. As I become a media industry worker-bee, I want my future employer to know I make ideas grow — and I always keep the success of the hive in mind.
Any Questions?
